The next phase will involve Southern's two 777s operating from Bangkok to Frankfurt and "probably" to Amsterdam.

The carrier took delivery of its first 777F in early February and, following the completion of US Federal Aviation Administration-supervised proving flights in the USA, will be ferried to Bangkok this week ahead of a 27 February launch of revenue services.

He adds that a second 777 will be delivered to Southern on 2 March and will also be operated for Thai, which signed last year a two-year wet-lease contract fully covering Southern's first two 777s.

well.....Wait and see is all we can do!
Nice to hear. Also a new 777 airline for Amsterdam. Cargo or not! :)
Bit of topic, but this one might be the lucky 77F for AMS (if things become reality!!)

Delta has again slightly adjusted its Summer 2010 Atlantic flight schedule.

Though the airline plans to operate BOS-AMS-BOS 2x daily in peak summer it has replaced the A330-200 with a B767-300:

OLD departure schedule:
- AMS 11:15 BOS 13:10 DL 267 Non-Stop A330-200
- AMS 14:00 BOS 15:55 DL 231 Non-Stop A330-300

NEW departure schedule:
- AMS 11:15 BOS 13:10 DL 267 Non-Stop B767-300
- AMS 14:00 BOS 15:55 DL 231 Non-Stop A330-300

DL266/267 767-300ER to replace A330-200 a seat reduction from 243 to 216.

The competition which arose on the route Vilnius-AMS-VNO due to the arrival of both Air Baltic and Estonian earlier this year has resulted in a changed Summer 2010 schedule, as Air Baltic retimes its operations to evening flights:

There remains uncertainty about the Summer schedule ATL-AMS-ATL.

In January 2010 Delta published advanced schedules for the high summer season indicating a new 3rd daily service with B767-300 operating in the afternoon/evening 6x/week ex.Tue.

In February Delta deleted this new flight from the schedules.

In March 2010, KLM has released a new codeshare service on AMS-ATL-AMS which may indicate that the 3rd service operated by Delta will operate this summer, however it would be with an A330-200 not a B767-300ER.

Once again a wait and see!

- dep. AMS 11:00 ATL 14:45 DL 239 A330-200
- dep. AMS 11:00 ATL 14:45 KL 6039 codeshare

- dep. AMS 13:50 ATL 17:15 KL 0621 A330-200
- dep. AMS 13:50 ATL 17:15 DL 9374 codeshare

- dep. AMS 17:20 ATL 21:05 KL 6075 codeshare - daily but who operates??? A330-200

Waarschijnlijk gewoon Summerlease. Afgelopen zomer vloog VQ ook met 737-800s, o.a. de C-FEAK van Sunwing uit Canada.
Oh en deze 737-800 zag ik laatst van ze:
