Aer Caribe Antonov crash

On 14 October 2020 an Aer Caribe Antonov An-32A (OB-2120-P, msn 1805) suffered a runway excursion after landing at Iquitos Airport, Peru, due to mechanical problems with the landing gear.

Both wings broke off in the accident sequence and the fuselage broke in two, just ahead of the wing.

The aircraft stopped in shrubs about 1,760 metres past the threshold of runway 06 and about 100 metres to the left of the centreline.

Smoke was seen billowing from the aircraft. The crew of four was unharmed but the aircraft did not make it.
