Emirates takes delivery of 1st A350
On 25 November 2024, Emirates officially took delivery of its very first Airbus A350. It's the first time since 2008 that the airline is taking delivery of a new aircraft type. After a special ceremony at Toulouse-Blagnac, A350-900 A6-EXA (684) embarked on its delivery flight to Dubai.
The aircraft is the first of 65 A350-900s Emirates has on order. The airline is planning to have it enter commercial service in January 2025, and will first fly to Edinburgh with it. When more A350s are delivered, it will also use the type to Ahmedabad, Bahrain, Bologna, Colombo, Kuwait, Lyon, Mumbai and Muscat.
