Etihad announces new Airbus-orders
On the second day of the 2025 Dubai Air Show, Airbus and Etihad Airways announced new orders for the Abu Dhabi-based airline. It's ordering seven additional A350-1000s, three more A350Fs but also becomes a new customer for the A330-900 by ordering six of them. Etihad Airways is also leasing four A320neos and nine A330-900s via Avolon, bringing the total commitments for the latter type to fifteen.
Before this new announcement, Etihad Airways already held open orders with Airbus for 20 A321neos, eleven A350-1000s, and seven A350Fs. With Boeing, it has open remaining orders for 25 B777Xs, four B787-9s, and 20 B787-10s.
Today, the airline's fleet is made-up of fifteen A320s, one A320neo, nine A321s, thirteen A321neos, nine A350-1000s, nine A380s, nine B777-300ERs, five B777Fs, 37 B787-9s, and ten B787-10s.
