MasAir Cargo to add A330-200P2Fs

MasAir Cargo has signed a lease-agreement with lessor Altavair for two A330-200P2Fs. The duo is set to be delivered early next year and the cargo company will use the aircraft to open new routes to China.

MasAir was founded in 1992 at Mexico City, launching with DC-8Fs. In December 2000, LAN Chile acquired 25% of the shares in the airline and in 2015 it was rebranded to LATAM Cargo Mexico. Three years later, however, LATAM sold its shares and the airline returned to its former name of MasAir Cargo. It currently has a fleet of one B767-200BDSF, one B767-300ERF and one B767-300ERBDSF. It flies to eighteen destinations and also has hubs at Los Angeles (CA) and Miami (FL).
