More MAX9s for Alaska Airlines

On 22 December, Boeing and Alaska Airlines announced that the airline has ordered 23 additional B737-9s. The airline already had 32 B737-9s on order and also announced last month it would lease 13 B737-9s.

This means Alaska Airlines is now expecting 68 B737-9s in the coming years. It also has options on another 52 aircraft, meaning Alaska Airlines B737-9-fleet could grow to 120.

The airline is expecting take delivery of their first B737-9 early next year and start commercial operations with the type in March.
