N219 certified by Indonesian Civil Aviation Authority

On 28 December, the N219 has received its certification from the Indonesian Directorate of Civil Aviation, clearing the way for the first deliveries to Indonesian customers. The certification follows after a three year long test programme that started with the type's first flight on 16 August 2017.

The N219 is developed and built by Indonesian Aerospace and is a nineteen-seat utility aircraft. The aircraft is able to carry its passengers as far as 890 km and can operate from rough airstrips. It will also be offered as a light cargo aircraft as well as for military use. An amphibious version is also planned later on.

According to Indonesian Aerospace the company has 120 orders and commitments for the aircraft from Air Born, Avistar, Lion Air, Nusantara Buana Air, Pelita Air, Trigana Air Service and the Government of Thailand.
