B738M AirCambodia 640Singapore Air Show 2026 Day 1 orders

On 3 February 2026, the Singapore Air Show began. Despite not being the biggest show in the terms of aircraft orders, a few orders were announced on the first day.

ATR announced that it has sold three ATR42-600s and five ATR72-600s to AirBorneo. The order was already booked as "undisclosed" in 2025 and the new aircraft are scheduled to be delivered between 2027 and 2029. AirBorneo is the new name of MAS Wings, which was acquired by the local government of the Sarawak state from Malaysia Airlines.

COMAC is also present at the airshow and they announced that it has sold six C909 to Shanxi Victory General Aviation. These C909s are, however, not regular aircraft but will be first aerial firefighting versions. The Chinese manufacturer received certification of this type in January 2026, which is able to drop a load of 10 tonnes of fire retardant.

Lastly, Boeing also made public that it has sold ten B737-8s to Air Cambodia. The airline also took options on another ten. This order was also booked as "undisclosed" last year. Today, it flies with three ATR72-600s, two Airbus A320s and a single A321.
