Spirit to lease more A320neos

Spirit Airlines has signed a lease-agreement with AerCap for twenty additional A320neos. The aircraft are to be delivered between 2022 and 2024. Last month, the airline also announced it would lease ten more A321neos with ALC.

In total, the airline now has open orders and leases for 35 A319neos (directly with Airbus), 83 A320neos (63 with Airbus, 20 with AerCap) and 30 A321neos (20 with Airbus, ten with ALC).

Spirit will use the additional aircraft to meet its 2024 growth-targets as well as replacing older aircraft in the fleet.
