Surprise! ITA Airways will not be Alitalia

Contrary to our previous report and surprising everybody, the successor of Alitalia, Italia Trasporto Aereo has announced it will operate under the ITA Airways brand, including a new blue livery designed by famous design company Landor.

Although ITA has acquired the Alitalia-brand on 14 October for 90 million euros, it did so to prevent others to use the name. ITA decided not to use the brand to really mark the break with the past.
