United Airlines takes delivery of 1st B737-8

On 27 June, United Airlines took delivery of its first B737MAX8. The aircraft is registered N27251 (43931) and was ferried from Boeing Field (WA) to Newark (NJ) on this date where it will be prepared for entry into commercial service, which is planned for mid-July.

The airline has ordered forty B737-8s which will be configured with sixteen Business Class and 150 Economy Class seats. Next to the -8s, United has remaining orders for 49 B737-9s and 92 B737-10s. It already operates 30 B737-9s.
