F100 VirginAustralia 640Virgin Australia says goodbye to its Fokker 100s

On 30 November 2025, Virgin Australia organised an event at Perth (WA) to formally say goodbye to its Fokker 100s. Both remaining aircraft were present, with VH-FNR (11488) being on display in a hangar and VH-FSQ (11450) conducting two scenic flights.

Despite the event, the two aircraft will continue to fly on for a while and are expected to be formally withdrawn from service early next year.

The Fokker 100s are flown by Virgin Australia Regional Airlines, which operated fourteen different airframes over the years. The type is being replaced by the Embraer E190-E2, of which they currently have one in the fleet and seven remaining on order. It also operates four Airbus A320s.
