Don't know if this is 'normal', but when subscribed to a topic, the subscription is automatically removed when replying in the same topic.

Hi,

No, this is not "normal" behaviour.

Let's start with your default settings; In the UCP, under "Board preferences" => "Edit posting defaults", do you have the default setting for those notifications set to "yes"?

And when you do post a message, you don't remove this notification, so let it as below?

Do you get any error messages?

Regards,

Hans

Notify is set to "No" (because I don't want this for every topic I reply in, only for certain topics).
I assume that is what the subscribe to topic option is for. If not, please correct me. :)

I usually reply via the quick reply below at the bottom of the page, or via mobile, where the subscribe to topic option is missing all together. I rarely use the full editor.
But I did check, and the "Notifiy me when a reply is posted" isn't checked either.

There are no appearant error messages.

Most likely that is the issue here; when you have subscribed to a topic, but reply to that same topic, the "subscription" is reset to the default value, being no notifications in your case. But I need to test that.

If that indeed is the case, this was also so when we still were on the old server.

Hi Rockville,

As this is something which you only get the last couple of days, I don't think it has anything to do with the migration. Or even with the board as such, as I haven't done any updates or upgrades or changes lately.

So a couple of questions;
- which browser do you use (and which version)?
- do you get this with all postings? or only some? or only when you use (for instance) the "unread" option, or the link from a notification mail?
- what is the exact error you get? (you could mail me a print screen @ webmaster@scramble.nl)
- even you get this error, are you still able to read and see everything, or do you miss any content (or has it been garbled)?

Regards,

Hans

Hi,

Forgot I introduced the "share this" bar last week... ;-)
Seems there was one comma too much in that script. Should be solved now. Could you please check?

Crizz (and others),

I think you only get this error (for searching) only in the mobile skin/variant. Could you please confirm?

No. I get this one more and more often also while clicking View new posts. And I even don't have a mobile.
