Winter 2019-2020 peak planning schedule, valid from 27 October 2019. This is just the basis for '2+1 runway use' and variations will occur almost daily, including '2+2' configurations. Several non-peak time windows during daytime have reappeared in the schedule, those are not mentioned below. The policy of no 2+2 runway use after 15:30LT will be maintained.

Taxiway maintenance around A8 on A will have a big impact on operations 28 October-15 December. Additionally, runway 22 will be out of use 28 October-9 November. Expect the unexpected...

With runway 04-22 not in use for the next six weeks, is there any (logical) system in the runway assignment for bizjets/GA traffic? Today I noticed some were landing on 27 and others were landing between airline traffic on the main/secondary runway, i.e. 18R/C.

From what I have seen so far I think it mainnly has to do with the amount of other inbound traffic and the direction of arrival. If they arrive from the east and south it's easier to put them on 27 and seperate them from the other traffic. With a western arrival, this can be slightly more complicated when they have to cross other arriving traffic on top. With the reduced amount of traffic these days they can just get in line.

Joost, usually the logic is there per case, but it is hardly ever transparant to someone outside the Tower-Approach unit. Too many factors at play for that, unfortunately.

The former is normally not a problem (and inbounds from the south have to cross either outbounds to the east or other inbounds - when we are considering southerly winds). The latter is obviously true. Important factors are visibility, wind, and the (planned) use of runway 18L/36R. But as said, too many factors to summarize easily.

Q) EHAA/QMRLC/IV/NBO /A /000/999/5218N00446E
A) EHAM
B) 20/03/28 17:00 C) 20/06/01 14:00
E) RWY 18L-36R CLSD

Runway 36R closed from 28 March 17:00 until 1 June 14:00 for aircraft parking.
