Based on the info a got last week from an engineer, involved in the multiple test-runs the planning is gonna be like this:

- From the 5 run-ups there was one that wend good, needs some maintenance to solve the problems.
- Then waiting for IVW inspection and theire conclusion.
- Then may-be a test flight (if approved by Luzzair)
- Then a ferry flight to Lisboa and later on to California for a very heavy C-Check (planned to be 90 days a way in total)

But manny things depend on the IVW inspection and can change very soon.

Greetingz,

Hurricane.

Is the IVW also a part of the test flight crew during it's "first" flight? I mean joining the pilots during the test flight(s)?

As usual the IVW has a "big hand" in the process to keep the Tri Star back in the air again but I think they can't arrange a CofA for a foreign aircraft. (Sorry when I'm wrong ! ;-) )

So my question is: are there also members of the Portuguese authorities who do some inspectionwork to give permission for the "fisrt" flight ? Maybe in co-operation with the IVW employees ?

Robert
