redden jullie de oversteek niet non-stopi? Lijkt me leeg en lekker volgetankt dat je wel een heel eind komt? Vloog Sky Europe niet leeg non stop sea naar hun basis? Of is dit restricted bij HV?
West->East is no problem, otherway around is due headwinds not possible.

Dutch carrier Transavia orders seven 737-800s

(13Nov07 10:11 GMT)

Dutch budget carrier Transavia has finalised an order for seven Boeing 737-800s, plus three options, which were previously listed against an unidentified customer on Boeing’s orders and deliveries books.

Amsterdam-based Transavia deploys a fleet of 10 737-700s and 19 -800s on routes to destinations in Europe and Africa.

It has placed an order for seven additional 737-800s, which it plans to operate from its key Dutch airports at Amsterdam, Rotterdam and Eindhoven.

Transavia chief financial officer Tjero Zomer says: “This order is the result of a fleet plan developed by Transavia that provides for the fleet’s long-term optimisation.

“The new Boeing 737s are also equipped with blended winglets, which together with the much lighter optional carbon brakes can provide substantial advantages regarding fuel consumption and the related factor of CO2 emissions.”

Boeing sales VP for Europe, Russia and central Asia Marlin Dailey adds: “Transavia was part of a select group of European airlines that helped Boeing bring the next-generation 737 programme to market.”

Boeing values the order at approximately $523 million at list prices, adding that Transavia has the right to convert the order to other model types.

First of 7 aircraft will be delivered in spring 2009, Then in 2010, 2011 and 2012 two new aircraft will be delivered each year.
If the 3 options are converted to orders they will be delivered in 2014.

"Transavia.com vervangt bestaande Boeing 737's door nie

Luchtvaartnieuws reports these as replacement-orders for older aircraft.

I assume their source is Mr. Burlage and we all know how reliable he is in regards to the articles he writes.

Can anyone from within Transavia confirm the statements ?

And if so, any info on aircraft to replace / details ?

Thx, Chris.

I just opened my JP Airlines guide, and IF, IF the new aircraft are used for the replacement I think the following frames will be replaced as first because they are the oldest in the fleet:

PH-HZA, dd 06/98
PH-HZB, dd 06/98
PH-HZC, dd 08/98
PH-HZD, dd 04/99
PH-HZE, dd 05/99
PH-HZF, dd 06/99

Greetz,

If you read the article you'll see that a spokesperson for Transavia confirmed that the newly ordered a/c are replacements for older a/c. No Mr. Burlage involved, only mentioned as the source because he was the first to come up with it in De Telegraaf.

I noticed a pic in the photo forum of the HZE without the Jumbo Supermarkten stickers.

http://www.scramble.nl/forum/viewtopic.php?t=36583" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Does anybody know if they removed the stickers also on the HZW and HZX?
I still need the HZX in this c/s, but maybe I'm too late :(
