No changes expected in the near future, but later on in the process do expect some more Delta-aircraft at SPL. Just imagine a whole bunch of A330's in Delta livery.

I think the new DL livery on a 330 would look smart, but given the speed that DL seem to do repaints it may never get further than Delta stickers on the NW livery. Given that DL have no 787 orders yet, but were rumoured to be planning a big one as a 767 replacement programme, and NW have something like 15 + 50 options, then a lot of Delta 787s at AMS in the next decade would seem likely.

Cheers,
Richard

As far i understand it's only an announcement made by both CEO's.

First the shareholders have to vote for this merger and the US government (anti-trust dept.) has to give the green light,
so nothing is going to happen in the near future...

Both CEO's have come to an agreement, that's all for now, nothing more...

Chris.

Looking at the merger of NW and Delta, I think it would be interesting to see what this could mean for Air France - KLM and the hub function of SPL. Could it be that the dual hub operation of AF and KLM changes when all NW/DA operations are being concentrated at Atlanta.

Might sound a bit complicated but would be an interesting discussion when looking at the cooperation between the airlines.

What I understood is that all their North-American hubs will remain intact, so besides Atlanta, the other hubs will remain to be used.

This is a part of an article that I read on luchtvaartnieuws.nl:

What do you mean by this. The 757 is already flown into AMS for a long time...

Can't give you any info on the use of NW 747 in the upcoming period.

Yes that is correct.
But Not in Delta collors.
And that's the same for the 747-400.
