Hey Marcel, Still some Sqns "on the fence" (if that's what you're wondering about). We've got about 500 people signed up.

As I mentioned early on, it's gonna be a smaller Meet than we've gotten used to in the last several years. I'm guessing it's to be about 11 sqns. In my 35 Tiger Meets, I can say it's certainly not our smallest (check your copy of the 50-year book). Plus there is also a big effort to get some other assets to support the Spotters. Also, I heard something about a surprise for the Spotters (don't ask).

The 192 Sqn, from Balikesir, as host, working on a Spotter's day at Koyna is not easy. Also, as you know, Turkey is not used to Spotters Days, so the planning is going slow (imagine: new project officers, 2 bases, two base commands, Big HQs in Ankara, security concerns, proximity of real world operations, etc, etc).

Of course we're getting questions about Base opening times, locations on base, etc. We've been told to chill while the plans are under development. So that's my message to Scramblers.

Of course, remember also that for all of we NTM/NTA planners, the flying training program is our main effort. Next comes logistics, admin, financial, legal, security, social issues, etc. I'm kinda partial to spotters so I've taken it upon myself to try to "keep our fans happy". BUT, as a retired guy living in the South of France, I have other interests 8)

Cheers, Don T3

Hi Don
thanks for your "Head's Up"! As being a military serviceman myself i know that there are a few more items, being more important than organizing a Spottersday e.g.
But in fact i was wondering about the "lack of information" from the Tiger Association themselves. (had other experiences in the past regarding that point)
Nevertheless i am looking forward to that event; also in fact that the world's situation had changed in the past months/ years. So am grateful for every event being held......!!

And also am very grateful for your support.
Cheers Marcel

I've been told they have that intention yes. But in my view that isn't participation in the meet ( flying ). As such didn't mentioned it

Hi Don, the Anatolian Eagle exercise at the SAME base (Konya) is having a 3 day's spottersdag. So don't get it WHAT would be the problem for the 192Filo to have one during NTM'15....

What I have heard from the turkish authorities that they first see how many spotters want to visit the Anatolian Eagle exercise and that they divide the number of spotters over three days. Example: 300 spotters want to visit, for every day 100 spotters can get access. So it is not that you are allowed to visit Konya three days in a row.

This is different from the NTM spotterdays as you are allowed to visit Konya two days in a row.

Are there any news? A Tigermeet with only 3 participating countries is very poor. The smallest Meet I be ever been.

For AE it is the first edition which has been opened to pretty much everyone. The AE organisation isn't the same as the NTA/NTM. There will be a 2 - day spottersevent, that ain't the problem. For the rest, Don has mentioned several reasons. No need to get into details to much i think...

I trust on those involved to make the best out of it, in training and for "us" !

A overview of participating units will follow soon i think

During the morning hours certainly. Remember it is an 01-19 orientation.
