During arrival and departure days, a lot of participating aircraft joined a "Skyvan" before landing/after departing, which meant that these aircraft did not have any fuel left for any flybys at KB.
So what is the story about the "Skyan"?
Military aircraft, payed by the taxpayer, have to invest their fuel for the money-making of one private person and his paying guests?
And all these airforces do not have any problems doing this? or are they payed by the airshow organizers, which means that airshow visitors pay for the fun of the "Skyvan" as well?

AFAIK the Photocrew visits the annual airshow conference at Malta. During that meeting, they make sure their team is credited as the official photographers for a number of European airshows. From there on they are free to contact and arrange setups with the crews of the visiting aircraft. The airshow organizers profit from (probably free) promotional pictures and the Photocrew earns money by charging amateur photographers to join them in their Skyvan.

Can't really say if this burns a lot of extra fuel or not and how it would affect the spotters on the ground. I do think this should better be discussed in a separate (preferably factual) topic instead of here.

As far as I know the organizers don't pay for this, but one thing I is that the guy who organizes this is not very transparent on the cost of this whole thing.
