Hi Rob,
if it was dark grey with dayglo stabilisers and had a civil registration it possibly was one of the 4 Dauphins operated by NHV for the French Navy from Lanveoc (22F). They only have one French registered bird, F-HOHN, the other 3 are Belgian-registered (OO-NHD, -N, -Y). Hope this helps.

Will check the dauphin.

8 usaf hercs still holding for Aromanches, plus an extra herc a bit further east. There was a P3 in that spot half an hour ago.

Can anyone confirm the Canadian C-130 was flying around the Canadian vessel along the coast this afternoon. First the CP-140 circling the vessel, later on a C-130.

Today around 13:15 h a formation of 3 CH-47s was seen near Evreux, flying in the direction of Paris. Around 18 h they (at least I presume it was the same threesome) were seen again flying back to Caen/Carentan. Obvious question: anybody for the serials...?

Hi Rob (and the others),

I received information from a source in the area that civil Dauphin F-HUGO flew several times out of Caen on the 5th. It is dark blue with its registration in gold below the pilot's door. Looks like a likely candidate.
