true but there will be (small) airshow however

The “ARCHANGEL” International Air Show will not take place this year due to operational reasons. A static display as well as an air show will be carried out at Tanagra Airforce Base, on the 10th and 11th of November 2007 on the occasion of celebrating the Hellenic Air Force’s Patron Day. Schedule and participations will be announced in the near future.

"Airshow" is I think a bit too much. How about we call it an "event"?

Seriously now, based on the info we have so far, I wouldn't say this is worth coming over from the Netherlands for. (I'll be in the UK during those days FWIW). I hope however that the participations' list will grow and they'll at least have one of each HAF type flying.

Oh and BTW... sometimes we also get rain in November :P

Big question:
is photography during these open house days formally allowed?

Now that the Tanagra event has been downgraded does anybody know if the other bases are open from the 8th to the 11th??

I have re contacted the HAF via there website but to no avail.

I have also emaile the museum at Tatoi again no reply, is it open at all over the period?

Many thanks,

Tim.

The lastest info we received said:
... we inform you that, in the context of celebrating the HAF patron Archangel’s Day, all HAF’s Airfields and HAF’s Museum will be open to the public with aircraft static exhibitions from 8 to 11 November.

Moreover, on 10 and 11 November Static exhibitions and air shows of HAF’s and foreign Air forces’ aircraft shall be held at Tanagra.

I'm wondering when this all will be cancelled, considering the large forest fires.

In yet another turn about the Tanagra airshow, we received the following information
the Chief of Staff for the air force has cancelled Tanagra show altogether due to having to commit his manpower to other national duties ie post Fire clean up.
