It's a bit early i guess, but there are rumours about Araxos, due to the disbandment of the last flying A7's.
But as i mentioned, it's a bit early to get any information about a new place, if there will be a new one!

Unfortunately Lechfeld had been cancelled due to main important things.

HAF recently retired the A-7H - TA-7H Corsair.Now they remain about 50+ A-7E/TA-7C.

The last news makes reason that, the 335 Sqn "Tiger" will get on 2009 all (30) or 20 F-16 Block 52+ Advanced. The 336 Sqn "Olympus" it will continue flying the A-7E Corsair until 2011-2012.

A-7?

Post by Stafsels »

Hi,

Which version is the A-7H???
Modernised A-7A like A-7P or A-7E?

Why (when A-7H =A-7E) retire the A-7H and not the A-7E as well?
Or has it been the wish to get some standarisation within het HAF?
The double seaters are the TA-7C. Not old enough for retirement?

Greetings,

Henk

Henk,

A-7H are newly built for the HAF and deleferd between 1975 and 1977.
A-7E are ex-US Navy and came to Greece till 1994 after the F-104 was no longer..TA-7C are confirted to TA-7H standerd.

So the E model are updated before delefery from AMARC to Greece and so NOT older than the H model :-)

Snap je het nog...

The squadron in Araxos is a probationary member of the NTA and therefore not entitled to stage a TM.

Given the disclaimer at the 1./JaboG 32 site, I don't think you can call it official information, although I doubt you can get better by now.
