Just received a message: arrivals today (until 10:40AM) include two Spanish F-5's, two Greek A-7's in special colours and a German Bo-105 in tiger livery.

Hi,

Some(!) inbounds for today:
HAF336a,b 2x A-7 eta 10.30
PAF012 An26 eta 11.40
IAC261 PC-9 eta 12.00
PolishAF940 Su-17(?????) eta 12.15
DAE3278a,b 2x F-16 eta 13.50
DAE CL601 eta 16.50

Strange thing is the Polish AF 940! Flightplan says Su-17, but I think a Su-22 might show up in the end.

Oh, and the B-52 that landed at Waddington is 60-0021.

Cheers,
Oscar

Ps: Arrived before today: Deuce11/12 (2x F-15), AME2302 (2x F-5), FAF6470 (2x Alpha Jet), SUI518 (2x F-18 ) + turkish stars

Isn't that common? have seen a same remark by the other Oscar. The Su-17 is the basic type of the Su-22, isn't Su-22 the export version of the Su-17?

here's the answer to your question:

(you're correct indeed) ;)

Small warning to anyone going to Florennes and who expects clean static shots.
FORGET IT, all aircraft are surrounded by fences, you will always see a fence when you photograph an aircraft anywhere on base.
For the airshow, audience stands near the secondary runway, so at least 400 or 500 mm digital.
There might be a possibility to photograph some airshow aircraft on a taxitrack in the afternoon.

Do you have examples of what to expect, I mean just somewhere fences in the back, or ILA style, as close to the a/c as possible?

At the TLP platform you will see a complete row of fences in the back and of course also in front of the aircraft, behind a larger part of the aircraft on the eastern part of the platform you will also see people walking in the distance.
All other aircraft elsewhere at the base on shelter platforms and taxitracks have fences all around them and these are standing really close by.
Fences are all made of shiny metal.

It's a nice list with SF5 and A7. But what about for instance the Ukranian An26 or the Lithuanian An26 or the Romanian delegation. have they all been cancelled at the last minute??? :(

C-160R is RA02/61-MI

Turkish Stars NF-5B's are 4005 and 4017. Don't know the A's from memory as I wrote nothing down. Only NF-5A 3055 they towed this one in the maintenance hangar with the 7 F-16's.

By the way, where did you get that serial from the NH-90 as I don't think it was an Italian.

Regards,
DJ
