Finnish Week mid May

Some airbases seem to have their gates open mid May:
14/5: Kuopio-Rissala
15/5: Jyvaskyla
16/5: Kuorevesi - Halli
16/5: Rovaniemi
20/5: Kauhava

In addition Utti Army basi will be open on 10 May
The bases can be found on this Google Earth map

So you have to stay a few days longer to do all the bases :wink:

Exercise ADEX 08 will run from 19-30 May in Finland. No info known about participants and or airbases
Assume makes an ASS of U and ME.

I can give you some info about the airbases.
I got this out a mail from a finnish spotter to me:
If possible, you might consider coming to Tampere in May. There's an open day at the Air Force base usually in mid-May. Also the multinational ADEX2008 air combat exercise will be held from May 19th to June 1st. They will be using Tampere, Kuopio and Kauhava as their bases. Of course the biggest happening of the whole year is the Kauhava midnight sun airshow (http://www.lentajienjuhannus.fi/english" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;). That's also a must for finnish spotters.
