31.5.2008 Malacky Open Day

Post by bunt »

I got the following information about the Open Day at Malacky on 31.5.2008.

Participants: B-1 (flyover), air displays of MiG-29; L-39; Mi-24; Mi-17 and maybe L-410 (airborne). Static display: MiG-29; L-39; Mi-24; Mi-17, An-24; Su-22; MiG-21 and probably An-26 and L-410.

More info: Runway at 31. figher base Sliac will be repaired, so all aircraft from Sliac will move to Kuchyna-Malacky (MiG-29s; L-39s).
So there is a chance for static displays of 11 MiG-29s.

Info credits to Screenes :!:

F-15 came on LZMC at Friday, but because of some bureacrat problems, they had to fly home.

I think that B-1 had very similar problem.

And about MiG-29... We have only 12 MiGs, and some of them are in Poland on shooting exercise, 3 are for air-defense, 1 is in Germany at ILA, and 2 had technical problems (they were at several airshows last week). Also MiG-29UBS "1303" which was at static display wasnt in 100% technical condition.

You can see our MiGs in action 14-15.6 at Piestany.

And I think I saw you at Kuchyna, because I was standing near people from Hungary. (You are from Hungary, arent you?)

Piestany is planned, but I meant I hope it will fly in Hungary, because it's confirmed for Kecskemét, but we don't know it will fly or will be static. :D

I had to cancel this trip a few days before the show so I asked it in the name of other Hungarian aviation friends.
