Landivisiau - Open Door/Airshow June 29th, 2008

Post by theo »

A lot of spotters will go to the spotters event at Landivisiau 27 June. According to several websites there will be also an Open Door/Air Show event June 29th, 2008.

Does somebody know the official website for the Airshow and/or can somebody put some information on this Scrambel bulletin board about the participants/program of this air show?

Thanks,

Theo

Last week i got this message from 11F concerning the airshow, you have to wait a little bit longer for detailed info.

11F email:
The program for the open day should be available very soon (it depends on another department).
Basicaly, most of the aircraft attending the tiger meet will be display on static few of them will probably do
air demo (maybe spanish F1 and F/A-18 but it's not sure...)
Italian Typhoons were cancelled for this tiger meet but will come anyway at the end of the week and for the airshow ( I don't know for air demo???).
Greek A-7s will not come as they transition to F-16s.
Slovakian MIG-29 have cancelled ...
E-3A will stay in the air waiting for spotters to leave the base and aircrafts to be moved after the spotter's day(friday) and will be parked for static display (with visit) for the airshow of sunday.
I don't have much infos but I will contact the peoples from scramble.nl when I get more.

Still no news?

I would be nice to know what aircraft to expect and what time the gates open and close.
Kind regards

Does anyone have (a link to) more information about the Journée Portes Ouvertes on Sunday 29th in terms of flying programme or static? The links above are a little sketchy. Thank you.

You are right, but that is all that is available on official websites and there doesn't seem to be a dedicated Open Day website from the base itself (which mostly IS available from French Air Force Open Days-so there's room for improvement on the part of the Aeronavale!)

The link mentioned above is an elaboration of the link I posted earlier: if you click "En savoir plus" there you end up on this page. If you click "participants" on this last page you will see pictures of participating aircraft, but that too is rather inconclusive unfortunately. There's no programme available AFAIK. Oh well, let's wait and see... 4 days to go
