What I do not know yet, are the details of the aircraft that will participate in the static cq the aerial display. I expect that at least all the aircraft types of the Singapore Airforce will be present.
No clue whatsoever if we can expect foreign air forces to send a delegation. Anyone with more details?
With regards,

hi Robbert,

The RSAF open house always has 1-2 samples of each type on static display. If you come early you can take clear shots. Show up around 0800 so you're one of the first ones in. Do the static first as there are barely any fences to obstruct the view, but the problem is that people can get up close and personal with the aircraft, which makes taking pictures later in the morning impossible. There will be 2 air power demos, one in the morning, one in the afternoon. Which basically is a QRA display with a pair of F-5's and F-16's. Assume the Black Knights will also be there and there will be helicopter demos and joy rides in Hercules and F-50 to keep the kids busy.
It is not common to have foreign visitors and in this case i dont think anything can be expected, which is a pity.

Best regards,
Hans.

Hi Robbert

There's actually loads of info on the Open House site, including a map, a rough flying program etc.

It's just quite hard to find your way around. Try starting at:-

http://www.mindef.gov.sg/rsaf/oh08/info/event.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

... then you have to remember that there are two levels of menu options at the top - explore all of them and you will get loads of info.

I'm very jealous - I've visited the museum on the airfield but was told that its not normally a good idea to take photos outside the base.

Just in case you dont spot it - cameras are allowed but no lenses 500mm or more are permitted. The draw for the pleasure flights in the Hercules, Chinook etc is only open to Singapore citizens or permanent residents. :(
