Would you happen to have some more information about this show? Especially how to get there by public transport. The first part (taking a plane to Narita) is done, but now the rest... :?
Any info is more than welcome!

To JGSDF kisarazu from Yokohama, Shinagawa, Tokyo, and Kinshicho,
take the JR Sobu-line(rapid) to Chiba station, and then take the Uchibo-line
to JR Kisarazu station. Some rapid train go to Uchibo-line directly to JR Kimitsu station,
which is too far from Kisarazu. it takes about 90min. from Tokyo.
The single way fee from Tokyo is 1,280JPY.
I think You had better to use "Holiday Pass" which is available at JR's ticket vending machine.
It cost 2,300JPY and good for aroud Tokyo area(including Yokohama and Kisarazu).

From the Kisarazu station, you'll be able to raide on the free shuttle bus.
(But less service, I think you had better to take a taxi, cost about 1.500-2,000 JPY)

There are some express bus services from Tokyo, Shinagawa, or Yokohama to JR Kisarazu station, and they take about 55-65min, 1,300-1,500JPY.

Hi all,
I've got a private message that says "What does Counter-light at Yao means? Is this a kind of Airshow and is it open for public?"

I apologize my poor Englsh vocabulary at first, but I don't know how to tell this situation in English;
The R/W(of Yao) is 09-27 and you're at the North side of the R/W, face to the sun all day long. (I meant this situation as "counter-light")

Does somone teach me the correct term of this?

I guess the term you're looking for is "Backlight".

And if you think your English is poor, read the poster after you, had to read that 5 times before I could even guess what he might have meant :lol:

You still didn't answer the question though: is it open for the public?

Hi all,
Thank you for the comments.

Yes, JGSDF Yao opens to the public.
You can enter the base and the apron.

That's all today.

Hi,
13 Sep., JASDF Hyakuri opens 0900-1430.
There will be a rescue-demo by UH-60J/U-125A, a maneuver-flt. by F-15, a ground attack demo by F-4EJkai, a recon.-fly pass by RF-4E and the Blue Impulse.

There will be a little car park area in the base.
Please use this car park(Japanese only, about 6km from Iwama I.C.).
http://www.mod.go.jp/asdf/hyakuri/img/show-p.jpg" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

There will be shuttle bus service(about 1,000JPY) to the base.;

There will be shuttle bus from JR Ishioka station (80 min. from Ueno)to the base, too.
It takes about one hour to the base.

I expect there will be awful traffic jams around the base this year.
Because it is the first trial to make the car park out side of the base, so they will miss the traffic controls....
