Paris Air Show, Paris-Le Bourget 15-21 Jun 2009

Found this link via Alert5.com:

There will be an F-22 at this year's Salon. Since it will be pretty nearby, it might be a good idea for the organizers of the RNLAF Open Days to send an invitation too... :-d)

Sounds good, especially if the schedule is the same as RIAT last year:
The display F-22 needed a spare F-22 (on hot stand-by during the high PR display), which in turn also needed a spare, so three aircraft.
High tech it is, off course F-15E's had to fly around during any display.

And what to expect for tanker aircraft (with spares off-course)?

As already written before: "Already done bij BAD ... but from a "US" logistic view it could be a problem. We will be on top of it!!"

I can't find the article anymore, but according to that article they would sent 3 F-22 Raptors to Paris. The same number as last year for Fairford. As soon as I find that article again I'll post it here.

Sorry

I would like to know if Airbus/Boeing already announced which planes will be presents @ LeBourget. I'm thinking that it won't be spectaculair, no new Airbus/Boeing planes in the last 2 years.

Well from what i can find on the latest announced date of the first flight of the 787 is second quarter of 2009. So it could well be that the 787 is available for the show, but it probably won't fly I think. That's just a bit to early in the flying test program to perform a display

First flight of the B787 will be end of June, if they make the date this time.... So no B787 on this years Le Bourget!
An Air France A380 might be a possibility though. The first (and maybe the second) has already been painted and is in Hamburg for outfitting. If at all possible, I wouldn´t be surprised Airbus sends it over.

To make things clear, the F/A-22 demo team website (last update?) does mention Le Bourget in their schedule, and the Air Combat Command (updated 4 May) website does not mention Le Bourget.

Hi guys,

from the newsletter i got last week:

For those who don't speak german. The last phrase means: The F22 Reptor will be present in the air and on the ground for the first time (Flyingdisplay every day).

So maybe there is still half a chance. So keep the fingers crossed.
