I'm looking for the infromation from what airbase F-5 will take part in Axalp 2010.

During the stay in Switzerland I want to visit a few airbases. There will be any movement for example in Sion, Emmen, Payerne?

I will be very grateful for help,
Best regards!

F-5 for Axalp will fly from Sion. Also that week from Sion flights with the Hunter from the Swiss Hunter team.
From Meiringen only the F-18 (with helicopter action for Axlap)
Payerne: only F-18
Emmen: Patrouille Suisse for Axalp and occasional jet-action (F-5/F-18)

@damian
Yes the flights ex Sion and Payerne should be everyday. The problem could be the high fog (not in Sion). You wont often see the sun outside the higher alps and valleys.

Airbases for Axalp:
Alpnach: All helicopters
Meiringen: F-18 and some helicopters for big lift
Payerne: F-18*
Sion: F-5 flight squadron (6 aircrafts)
Emmen: F-5 Patrouille Suisse and Pc-21

*test flights (maybe armed) on 15th october due to francophone meeting at Montreux

Thank You very very much for helpful information.

I visit Sion on Monday - there was beautiful weather. 6 F-5 took off at 14:00 On Friday I was in Meiringen - In the morning there were 4 Hornets took off, and I saw F-5's landings. Then 1 F/A-18 took off at 13:30

I have a few questions about Axalp: From what airbase Hornets took off during officail shows, I heard that they were relocated from Meiringen to Sion.

Best regards,

@damian
There is no official airbase for the F-18 departures during Axalp "Airshow". They could be come from Payerne or Meiringen but mostly from the alpine airbase. Some F-18 diverted to Sion due to weather or other reasons. The F-18 operates from all four jet airbases.
