Your usual US air show recommendations: Expect traffic jams, bus transportation on base, thorough security, long lines @ the entrance and a hassle with your camera hardcase or backpack. Come early for static pics; static a/c are habitually not fenced in and serve as sun shelter for the cooler-crowd. Flying schedule for the show is slow as usual, stretched out over the whole day with lots of aerobats, vintage & civil stuff in between military acts. Runway @ Langley is E-W so expect good taxi, runway & flying shots with sun in the back. Previous years yielded good quality shots. Flight line (east apron?) is out of bounds & probably out of photo reach. I'm still not sure they truly understand us gazing in that direction & maikng notes. Check for snipers on the hangar roofs. Are you considering a combo with MCAS New River? Enjoy, see you there!

F-15E 87-0190/SJ sported a red tintip and 307 FS titles. 307 FS/414 FG is a "new" AFRC unit. 414 FG was activated in March 2010 to train air & ground crew in support of 4 FW. With the red fintip, it is not clear to me if they borrow 4 FW a/c or have their own.
C-130J-30 08-3173 is brand new; delivery to Dyess took place in November 2011.
All F-22 Raptors are still grounded and were securely tucked away in their hangars.
No trouble with security. Great photo opportunities. Slow show.
