Possibly airshow during Dutch TT, Assen, June 30, 2012

According to this publication (in Dutch), officials are studying the possibility of an airshow during the Dutch TT-motor races at the Assen racetrack. Reason for this is the declining number of spectators for the TT and consequently the lack of income. Provincial Government has indicated is will take a positive look at any application to improve the situation, including an airshow. Dutch TT is held over the weekend of 30 June.

Oh well they only have to blow some dust off the scenario from Falcon Autumn and we have a full airpower demo :wink:

Newspapers up north (LC & DvhN)only mentioned the 2013 and later option, as 2012 was to soon to organize anything, let alone get an air display permit from the burocrats in time.

It will happen this year! Strangely enough on the same date as the Waddington Show.

On the same day there will be a flypast for the National Veterans Day in The Hague. So probably they will also fly to Assen.
