Are you saying that if you are on base, on the flight line or show center that the sun will be facing you the entire air show? Shooting into the sun would be no fun at all for this air show. I was there in 2009 but got rained out on the day I was attending.

You could go for the spotter pack, that gives you access to a photo spot on the opposite side of the runway. The sun is not a problem in the afternoon, evening though.
