SYSOPS: Copyright issue and Hot linking...

Sysops,

As you can see in my AMX topic, someone pointed me to one of his own pics for use in an article. I know it's not allowed to hot link pics from other sites in an article but how about this? He (sort of) gave permission to use the pic but it's not uploaded to the Wiki gallery. What to do? Do I download the pic from the site, and upload it to the Wiki using the original copyright info for the upload or do I have to wait for the original photographer to upload it?

Preferably the maker of the photo uploads it him self off course, but as he is unable (or unwilling) to do it himself, but you have permission to use the image, I don't see why you can't upload it yourself.
