ImageThis is the forum to share your recent aviation photos with the rest of the community, being photos not older than six months at the moment of topic opening. Theme-based topics, not about recent events, should go into the sub-forum.
Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post.
In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.).

Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so.

Seoul Gimpo 27 nov 2016

Post by EC »

During our visit to Korea we spend some hours on the"domestic" airport of Seoul, Gimpo. The weather was far from perfect which limited our options for photography.
Gimpo is visited by all Korean airlines plus some Chinese and Japanse traffic. It is also home to some government agencies, like the coast guard with Challengers and Casa 235's + police with Mi17 and the locally developped KUH-1 helicopter.
We saw some some of these parked on the other side of the field but nothing moved on this Sunday.
Here is a small photo report to show some of the movements.

There is/was a ban on photography here-openly flouted by the local enthusiasts on the two occasions I visited the airport in recent years.

I guess there are no longer restrictions in place here on photography?.

Thanks for the compliments Guys

We had no problems taking pictures, not on the observation terrace in full view of 2 airport staff watching the terrace, nor outside the airport along the runway.

There is also a growing number of Korean spotters so the hobby is better understood now in Korea.
