Bangor Intl Airport - BGR - June 2017

Post by VH3D »

Hi All,

Weekend spotting trip to Bangor netted a lot of good stuff. There is total of 23 Saab 340s on the ground. Including two Royal Thai Air Force S340 before delivery.
Here are some catches from Day 1.

It was nice experience, but 3 days was definitely overkill. After you collect all the stored stuff, there is not much to wait for. On the second day we've got Omega Tanker DC-10 with two F/A-18s and few other things. Other than that, just random fuel stop arrivals coming and going from USA.
I'll post Day 2 and Day 3 shots soon.

Day 2.

In the morning we went to Cole Land Transportation Museum (if you can call it that, one Huey and one tank).

Image

After quick stop we drove to the town of Holden to grab Polish Air Force MiG-21R which is employed as a advertisement for the local gun shop.

From there back to Bangor airport to check the ramps by the museum and to photograph whatever was in that museum (1 Huey and 1 strange heli). ON the ramp close to the museum there is another rotor less Army Huey.

Day 2 afternoon

Omega Tanker DC-10 arrived with two Oceana F/A-18s. They've continued next day to PIK.
