Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post.
In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.).

Exercise "Bushido Guardian 19", Chitose AB, Japan [Military]

Post by Eskaihla »

The first ever joint exercise between Japan Air Self-Defense Force and Royal Australian Air Force was held in late September - early October 2019 at Chitose Air Base in Hokkaido, Japan. The Australian participants consisted of 2 F/A-18Bs and 4 F/A-18As. JASDF took part with 10 Chitose based F-15J/DJs as well as couple of F-2s from Misawa AB.

Just a few photos of the RAAF Hornets and a couple of participating JASDF Eagles.

A21-23 carries a special livery named "Worimi Hornet" in the honor of Leonard "Len" Waters, the first aboriginal fighter pilot in RAAF service.

A21-39 was painted with special color scheme to celebrate the 77th anniversary of No. 77 Squadron. This aircraft appeared to be the personal jet of the Wing Commander Jason Easthope, the squadron's Commanding Officer.

Thank you for the comments!
Yes, all photos are taken from outside the base, from a publicly accessible (and rather popular) spot near the approach end of RWY 36R.
