Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post.
In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.).

Japan Air Self-Defense Force Museum Hamamatsu Sept 2019

Post by mm12bva »

Arrived later than I wanted due to taking over an hour to pick up the car at Narita , and then traffic getting through Tokyo etc so it was 14.30/14.45 when we arrived(museum closes at 16.00)
not to worry still enough time, only then to find it was open cockpit day so the museum was rammed full of people and kids(more adults sitting in cockpits than kids)
so pictures are not ideal but will have to do

Pretty good pics! Image

You certainly made the most of it, considering the circumstances that day

Assume the F-2 63-8501 is still just the plastic full size replica, or has it been replaced by a real one by now?

Not too bad at all despite the public.
I was there in April and I was the only one in the big hall at the time I was photographing the collection.
Great collection indeed.
