Madrid-Barajas 29 August & 1 September 2022

Post by LifelinerOne »

Hi everybody!

another work-trip and this time I was visiting my colleagues in Madrid. I had some time after landing (waiting on my team to arrive from other cities) and before flying home. I spend this these few hours near gate D66 in Terminal 2 where there are a few single-glazed non-tinted windows. As it was 36 degrees celcius, heatwaves were sometimes a challenge but nevertheless, some nice things were photographed.

1. The 29th saw a lot of Egyptian airlines with flights by EgyptAir, AMC Airlines, Nile Air and this Nesma Airlines A320 SU-NMG:

2. This visit to MAD helped me in getting a few Airbuses from local Spanish carriers like this A350-900 EC-NTB of World2Fly:

3. I'm still not sure about MEA's newest livery as seen here on A321neo T7-ME6:

4. Avianca B787-8 N795AV rolling down the runway for its flight to Bogota:

5. Just like Nesma, this Nile Air A320 SU-BQK was a new airline for me:

6. Just love those Airbus A220s! Seen here is F-HZUB of Air France, taxiing to the gate after landing from Paris-Charles de Gaulle:

7. This trip also secured my first two Prime Air B737-800Fs, like this EI-DAD:

8. West Atlantic has bought Swift Air, which delivered this livery on B737-800F SE-RLJ:

9. Always enjoyable to photograph the blue birds of Aerolineas Argentinas as this A330-200 LV-GKO:

10. This Swift Air B737-800F OE-IBX arrived on delivery from Belgrade and has now a Spanish registration:

11. Another Spanish A350-900-operator is Iberojet, seen here with EC-NGY:

12. Air Europa is leasing several B787s from Norse Atlantic. Most are white with just titles, but this B787-9 EC-NVY is still wearing the Norse-livery, which is big improvement compared to the regular Air Europa-livery:

13. World2Fly also has an Air Operator Certificate in Portugal, of which this A330-300 CS-WFP is part of:

14. Definitely one of the high-lights was this Saudia B777-300ER HZ-AK28 in the special 75-years retro-livery!

15. And I'm ending my set with this Flyr B737-8 LN-FGF in the setting sunlight, shortly before my flight back home to Schiphol:

Hope you liked them!

MAD Wednesday 30th November,

Noted upon landing here were 2 A400Ms parked in the Iberia maintenance area in the south-east corner of the airport.

Any clues as to their serials?.
Drink treble
See double
Act single

and the Emir called up his jet fighters
