US Airbase & Stuttgart Airport @ night

Hi there,

here I have a couple of bulb exposures I took at Stuttgart airport.
It is a mix between civilian and military aircrafts...enjoy.

1. US Air Force KC-10A:

5. The "Guts Airline" from a different angle:

9. The last picture is a very special one. It shows a Turkish Airlines Boeing 737 escorted away from the terminal by fire engines after recieving a bomb thread against this airplane:

Hi Pascal,

the settings I used for the nightshots are almost the same for all pictures. There are only differences in the exposure time and the aperture value.
Here are for example the settings for picture 9:

ISO-100
f/5,6
5s
160 mm
Tripod
Cable release

I guess that means the Turkish 737 was standing still? (it is a bit out off the ordinary shot: I like it!)

Yes, you are right. The whole convoy stood still awaiting permission to cross the runway.

here is another picture I took yesterday night. This time we had a C-17A visiting us. I was lucky to catch it in time because it left a few minutes later.
I like the illuminated cockpit very much...what do you think?

Amazing, just with these simple settings and a tripod you managed to get these pics???

Checked out your website.

Your ELITE 2007 and AXALP pictures are breathtaking!!! You can actually see the 20mm bullets from the F-5´s flying trough the air. Unbelievable

Nice piece about the sensor cleaning, very helpfull.
