Hi Frank,
Nice pics you placed here. I have a question
about the F-15C 81-049/CR 32 TFS.
Is'nt this bird crashed in the Northsea?

Hi Roel,

Yes, the 81-0049/CR crashed in the North Sea at 25th April 1990 after suffering engine fire and hydrolic failure. Pilot ejected and recued by a oil platform vessel.

And the pilot was major George D. Hulsey. Below the USAF Mishap report

I just made a scan of this old eagle.
The picture was taken at Chanute in 1994.

take a look at http://www.sukhoi.nl for your pictures but to my knowledge the 79 0079/CR was belonging to 525TFS BT,

Here is just 1 that I could trace back as being from CR but this bird is coming in for a emergency and has requested the first barrier because of main hydraulics failure and no locking indication on the landinggear.
Pretty spectaculair to see it going into the barrier and if I'm not mistaken the bird that flew with him was 80 019/CR.

Jan,

The 79-0079 was a Wolfhounds one too. According to the F-15 Eagle book by Jurgen van Toor the aircraft arrived on November 1990 at Soesterberg the next year (March) it became part of the 525th at Bitburg AB.
