Forum rules
ImageThis is the forum to share your recent aviation photos with the rest of the community, being photos not older than six months at the moment of topic opening. Theme-based topics, not about recent events, should go into the sub-forum.
Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post.
In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.).

Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so.

Alltouch the picture is a little bit unsharp, number 3 is my favorite. The NH-90 looks the best from this angle; nice composition 8)

I'm glad the dutch air force bought 8 of them which will be based on EHGR in the nearby future, it will be nice to catch those at that moment

What's the story behind our NH90? Did it visit there or is it waiting to be taken into service?

The story behind the visit is on in the sequence of acceptance trials.
In this case there was primarely the trial of acceptance aboard a NL ship.
To handle the bird aboard the ship, in an enviroment at sea, where the receiving platform is not steady, there are different necessaties to handle the bird. At first, a ship has a pitch and a roll, so that are factors to take into account. When landing the bird on a seaborne platforn, one has to take that intio account. After landing on a ship the bird has to secure itself to the platform. That's done with the "harpoon."
To move the bird from the flightdeck to the hangar, the plaform has a specific tranportation means. That also has to be tested, under several wx conditions., iaw the "sea acception trials." Beneath that the bird is also conducting trials with a broad fute of comms equipment.
I hope that this brief sumary enlightens your question.
