Forum rules
ImageThis is the forum to share your recent aviation photos with the rest of the community, being photos not older than six months at the moment of topic opening. Theme-based topics, not about recent events, should go into the sub-forum.
Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post.
In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.).

Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so.

Dear Jah Wise,

Thanks you for sharing your images. I don't know if you are waiting for my opinion, but I would like to give it to you anyway.....

My guess is that you started with an old Minolta body, pluse several lenses. In the digital age you bought a Sony A200, because you could fit your old lenses on your new body. This makes sense ! But unfortunately your big lens is a very old Sigma 500mm/f7.1, which does not work very well together with your new body. If you compare your photos from the flying display with those of other people, you will notice that the image quality does not meet the standards of others. To say it more clearly: All your photos taken with the 500mm are all out of focus. Some a little bit, some a lot !

Now the unshapness could be caused by the lens, but I'm pretty sure it's also caused by extreme cropping.

You have uploaded 44 photos, and most of these make you look like a bad photographer. My advise to you would be to reduce the number of uploaded photos to about 10 per event, and show only the special ones that are technically OK. Ofcourse you are free to do otherwise, as I don't make the rules here. But I'm afraid you didn't make any poeple happy with the current selection.....

Good luck, and I hope you will manage to improve yourself.

Best regatds,
Iwan Bögels
