spottersday wittmund

Great try on the HDR images Bert! Besides the bit fainty look they come out okej (maybe some different tone mapping?). The airplanes are missing a bit of contrast or is that just my screen??
Thanks for the reaction, i more often get remarks about little contrast, may'be it's my screen ore just my taste ? Anyway it was my first try with HDR so i have to learn more to make them look better.

Phantomtown Wittmund

Post by Hornet69 »

Hi all,

finally found a little bit of time to show my small collection of a day at "Phantomtown" Wittmund.

Just some action shots along the fence. Stayed only for one hour on the base itself during the spottersday. Photographed the specials paints F-4's which are already published in this topic and left.

Hope you still can enjoy my contribution :?:

Finally was be able to photograph the Green/Brown camouflaged A-4N from Flight Systems. This was the last one I needed to complete all present A-4's

Is there anybody who can give an update about the current spotting situation at Wittmund. I understood a new fence has been placed. Is it still possible to take decent pics of the runway? What kind of lenses do you need? Do you need steps to take pics over the fence? Who can help me out?

Someone made a post containing some info about the new fence. With a map shwoing some information about it, and some tips about spotting there now.

Try using the search button for it.

Thanks Iwan, it seems that only half of the fence has been replaced as drawn on your map probably to build a new tower.
