Breguet Atlantic parts at Frankfurt airport

Post by Beagle »

Those wing/engine parts of an ex Luftwaffe Breguet Atlantic can be found at a fire training area located on the former US Air Base. The hulk in the background belongs to ex Proteus Airlines DO-328 F-GNPB.

Don't know which Atlantic they belong to, but I found a little plate on one of the wings which shows some numbers. Does it give some hints on the cn?

Which would make it ex-6101 of the German Navy, according to the Scramble Military Serials 2007.

Fokker made the mid wing sections of the Atlantics.

Could you pinpoint the exact location of those parts on Google Earth?

problem is that google's image is from 2002 so it doesn't seem to include the atlantic parts, only the DO-328
hope they update soon.

im still looking on bing maps, but in that corner is now something which looks like a citation there....

Is it easy to get there? Seems like a pretty remote area with no public access??
