Forum rules
ImageThis is the forum to share your recent aviation photos with the rest of the community, being photos not older than six months at the moment of topic opening. Theme-based topics, not about recent events, should go into the sub-forum.
Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post.
In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.).

Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so.

But are there any rules i have to follow before taking pictures there? How are they in the Us regarding spotters?
I think you've got things mixed-up. Edwards AFB, located south of Majove and East of Lancaster in California is an approximate 4 hour drive from Las Vegas. Nellis AFB is to the north of Las Vegas in Nevada. Spotting at Edwards AFB is near-impossible. Spotting near Nellis AFB is possible, at various locations: The Speedway, along the N Las Vegas Blvd to the NE (landings) and at E Cheyenne Ave and Kinley Drive, to the SW of the base (take-offs). You need a lot of reach though to shoot proper pics (over 300 mm on a with 1.6 cropratio).

Nice pics, thanks for sharing! I was there in August 2008 and it was quite warm. The photo-pod on the Marines F/A-18D is interchangeable I think.

I almost forgot our Italian friends, launching 8 birds out of 10 each day was quite impressive.
The WA bird came in a few minutes before sunset. If you have had enough let me know...
