MIG-21MF 7902

Finding in Barneveld, Gelderland, Netherlands with a company called Van Harten, is MIG-21MF 7902. It's standing left from the company, intention is to mount it on a pole (standing now behind the plane) on the building.

If it is really a Russian bird, it is a MiG-21MS, not MF!!!! :mrgreen:

This one was formerly preserved at Niedersfeld/Germany, right?

7902 is a polish one and the red star is fake.

Of course! The Red Star is crudely painted (no outline), and Russian aircraft never wear a four-digits tactical code!!

I have seen this MiG-21MF earlier this year on the Kartingtrack in Niedersfeld, just outside the village Winterberg.
Already looking the same as it does in Barneveld:

So the Russian star is not anything the new owner has applied.

The red four digits tactical n° is typicaly Polish. Russians/Soviets use TWO digits tactical n°. On some occasions, you can find aircraft with a red star and a three digits code, but this means that the plane belongs to a training regiment.
