As promised a few more from our trip to Portugal last week.
I left at Ota on Monday and will continue with Montijo on Tuesday morning.

All twelve EH-101s have been delivered by now. Two were deployed, so ten were at home.
Image

Next door to the Esq751 is the Marinha hangar. We had no visit there but could take some shots from the ramp.
Image

A bit further down the road were the C212s with this one having special markings.
Image

On the other side of the runway from this large base, the C-130s and new C295s live.
Image

Image

Image

In the afternoon we headed for Sintra. This time for the operational stuff.

You do not see a lot of these any more these days. Today we saw six Chipmunks.
Image

Image

Training nowadays is performed on the Epsilon. They are being repainted from white to... what else: grey!
Image

Image

Outside the Epsilon hangar we found an old Ce337.
Image

And inside we found another one, which will be going to Mozambique!
Image

Also on this base you can find a Gina. During our stay in Portugal we saw 25 different ones.
Image

This Talon is preserved in a very special pose.
Image

That's it for now, only Beja to follow.

In a way, yes.
They are used to tow gliders. They even got bigger engines for this job.
