Forum rules
ImageThis is the forum to share your recent aviation photos with the rest of the community, being photos not older than six months at the moment of topic opening. Theme-based topics, not about recent events, should go into the sub-forum.
Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post.
In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.).

Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so.

Hyakuri January 17th

Post by MyOneOFour »

Went to Japan for 4 days.
Landed at Tokyo-Narita at 12.30 hrs local and went straight to Hyakuri.
We arrived there about 15.00 hrs so we got the chance to photograph the last missions of the day.
We where too late for the Woodpeckers of 501 Hikotai but we would come back on Thursday for a whole day so these where just some kind of bonus.

Thanx for all your comments gents :toppie:
Actually the lightconditions are the best in January in Japan.
No heatweaves and every day sun with clear blue skies.
Most hours of sunshine are in January and February.
In the summer the sky tends to be pretty murky.
@Sleegertje: are you going to Japan with 4aviation?

Nope, we're going by our own. When does 4 Aviation go?
When do you post more, or do you have a website to see more pics?

4Aviation has a trip planned from 2 till 17 april.
What bases are you planning to visit ?
I have plenty more pics but still in the process of editing. Takes a lot of time.

Nice shots! Very good and sharp indeed!!

It seems its going to be busy with Dutch spotters in Japan this Spring! :P

I'd rather depict atmosphere and the 'heat of the moment' making a catchy photo than to reflect the real situation and real colours showing a boring photo.
