This is the forum to share your recent aviation photos with the rest of the community, being photos not older than six months at the moment of topic opening. Theme-based topics, not about recent events, should go into the sub-forum. Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post. In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.). Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so. |
Hans - correct about the location. There is now a photographic ban on anybody else shooting from the military base other than the official photographer however. It seems that people had shared stuff with the wider world previously when they'd been asked not to and the UAEAF was not impressed....Hans Rolink wrote:Nice selection Karl!
So you went "around the corner" from the grandstand onto the Academy platform judgeing by the sun shelters.
I did that as well in 2007, courtesy of Ian Allan, but like you wrote, it is not part of the package when you visit as a spectator to just the show.
Hans.
Hmmm, I have shared my catch of the Academy with the world through my site. I have not been asked not to, otherwise I would of course have complied.....KarlADrage wrote: Hans - correct about the location. I wasn't allowed to shoot any UAEAF aircraft from the military base at all, even the Mirage 2000 that was providing the solo display. I was also only allowed to shoot when my security man was present.Hans Rolink wrote: Hmmm, I have shared my catch of the Academy with the world through my site. They were Hannes Arch's 'Rhythm and Air' setpiece. It took place at sunset and featured 'experimental' music act NOISIA, a cellist, a ballerina, a silver suited lady wearing 'wings' that were set on fire and all while Hannes Arch flew in the background....Hans Rolink wrote: BTW, what was the intention of the group with the dancers or something?
